There is still some good out there.

With everything that is happening in the world today, the rise of false prophets, gimmicks, pastors sexually and emotionally abusing young church members and doing things for financial gain, young people killing each other when they are supposed to be playing soccer in the street – it is very easy to think that the church is broken, that it is dying. It is very easy to lose hope and ask yourself whether God does answer prayers. We wonder if He is even speaking to us in this day and age.

God says in His Word, “See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.” Isaiah 60:2

And again He says, in the midst of terrible things that were mentioned in the book of Habakkuk, “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of God”.

So, there are still some good pastors out there who love God and still sold out to doing ministry. There are still some good people out there. There are still Christians who are after God and not just what He can do for them. The church of God is still very much strong. The weeds will grow with the wheat unfortunately – but the wheat will flourish. Take heart. God still speaks. God still cares. There is still light. Keep on shinning – it is not in vain.
