Tell me your desire, by showing me your actions, and I will believe you. Tell me you want to pass your exams, let me see you studying, and I will know for sure you desire to pass.
One’s desire is only as strong as his/her actions regarding that specific thing. Isn’t it how it is in our everyday lives? The goals we set, the decisions we make? Aren’t they all intentional and towards specific purposes? Howbeit then, that we seldom show the same intentions when coming to our own walk with God?
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” – James 4:8. “Seek first the kingdom”. Seek, is a verb, an intentional doing word. One just can’t simply wish they knew the Word, one has to read the Word. One can’t simply just wish they operated in their gifts, they need to stir them up. Do you want to grow in the fruit of love, joy, kindness, self-control, humility? Then fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Be intentional about it. Let it be in your plans. God has already provided the grace to help you do it.
We have this blessed assurance in God, that He rewards those who diligently seek Him.(Hebrews 11:6)
