Life is a story and time is a storyteller.  Sometimes the play script of life takes turns we never imagine, making it feel like story lines are thrown our way we would rather not  be part of and unlike a movie, there is only one take. We carry on, holding the words of God in our hearts which say that all things work together for good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28 paraphrased).

There is a song we sing affectionately which we probably learnt in Sunday school times or primary school which mentions God making a way where there seems to be no way. Every time I sang that song growing up I honestly never thought about what, “where there seems to be no way” really meant. Little did I know that life had its own scenes lined up where it really seemed liked things wouldn’t work out at all – but they did most of the time. I say most of the time because sometimes they did not turn the way I thought they would, but things still worked out eventually and at times even better than I had hoped for.

See, when God said He knows the plans He has for us and that they are for our good, He knew what He was talking about. He also did not say that we will be born with a manual in our hands of how every little detail in our lives will work out – we just have to trust Him. We were not aware or in control of our lives from the time we were born till about 4 or 5 years when we started to engage with the world – yet He took care of us. Life is a gift we did not choose, it may have its ups and downs but I always count myself privileged to be able to talk to and to trust the author and finisher of this life – God.

  1. And that is the truth. I think we should rename ‘Adultig 101″ to become “Being Reborn”, because when things get windy, I feel we become reborn
